Dr. Glenn Penner, Professor of Chemistry, University of Guelph and Co-administrator of the Mennonite DNA Project
The Mennonite DNA Project includes all Anabaptist groups of Dutch, German and Swiss descent, including Amish, Hutterites, Old Order Mennonites and others. DNA testing helps uncover common ancestors and to some extent reflects a person’s geographical roots.
Find out how you too can participate in the intriguing world of genetic genealogy.

- 1:30 pm - Dr. Glenn Penner
Dr. Penner will talk about Mennonites in West Prussia and provide an overview of available West Prussian genealogical sources. The emphasis will be on sources that have recently become available and sources he expects will become available in the next few years. This presentation will be of particular interest to anyone whose ancestors lived in West Prussia

A demonstration of the latest version of the Genealogical Registry and Database of Mennonite Ancestry (GRANDMA) program. Bring any information you have about your Mennonite ancestors and find out if you can discover previously unknown ancestors and relatives.
- Copies of the GRANDMA CD will be available for sale, as well as selected other MHSA "Bookstore"
- Memberships will be available for $20 per household (includes right to vote at AGM and receive mailed copy of MHSA newsletters for one year).
