Send a Message to the List
Once you are subscribed, you can send a message (announcement, question, brag) to everyone on the list: CAN-MHSA-L@rootsweb.com. Be sure to add this address to your e-mail package's address book.
You may want to watch and see the messages come and go for a week or so, but then be sure to send a message to the list - to introduce yourself, your GRANDMA # (if you know it), your genealogical interests and brick walls, or.... This is a perfect opportunity to advertise your interests and have people reply with hints, tips, or an announcement that you are kin!

Rootsweb archives all our old messages so that you can browse them (by year and month) or search (keyword) them. This can be handy if you inadvertently delete an important message from your own computer or if you come across a surprising new surname in your family and you'd like to check if a message in the past made reference to that surname.
